Lausanne - can
be reached easily with the ferry service leaving from the
boat station and takes you across the lake in about 30
minutes. Lausanne is well known for the headquarters of the
International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Museum. Take
the tram from the lakeside to city centre and have a look
across the south side of the lake. |

Thonon
– can be easily reached by car (and train) and is a
15-minute drive west. The town is a bit bigger than Evian
with nice shops and waterside. Other attractions include
Chateau de Ripaille –the local wine estate.

Geneva
– is a 45-minute drive from Evian and the closest
metropolis. Enjoy exquisite shopping (watches in particular),
the waterside with the huge fountain, museums and the
historical city centre.

Montreux
– is located on the east side of the lake. Best enjoyed
during the music festival during the summer when the city is
buzzing with musicians, workshops and performances.

The French Alps
– chalet L’ Oreade is located on the north side of the
French Alps offering various outdoor activities and escapes.
Enjoy small villages such as Bernex or head out further to
Chatel or Morzine. On the way, you will pas Bioge, which is
becoming a local hotspot for outdoor sports such as rafting,
mountain biking and climbing.
